The Role


We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Interactive team focusing on our Inflight Entertainment and Connected Platforms. Your mission is to successfully manage the product roadmap and backlog according to the overall strategy and business objectives. Your role is to support the lead Product Owner in guiding and supporting the team of developers, designers, and testers in achieving that mission. 


What your day-to-day looks like

 

  • Manage the full Product management lifecycle, from ideation to tactical execution 
  • Create and maintain the Product Roadmap as a strategic guide for stakeholders to reference as well as a plan for execution of the product team 
  • Work closely with the lead Product Owner and Managing Director of the Interactive unit to build and maintain the Product Backlog according to business value, the overall strategy, and business objectives
  • Manage the Product Backlog, being able to balance multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines. Create a list of backlog items and prioritize them based on business objectives 
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents; determine tasks and proactively manage changes in project scope, identifying potential deviations and creating contingency plans 
  • Be accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. Be inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration, managing daily goals and schedules, and tracking milestones, to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines
  • Work closely with key account managers: gathering requirements, following up with backlog status, timings, prioritizations, customer feedback, and issues reporting. 
  • You will provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team's success. This includes fostering a collaborative environment, facilitating effective communication, and removing obstacles to progress.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder management: work closely with development, design, and testing, as well as stakeholders from different departments or external partners.
  • Risk Management and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation, demonstrating proactive risk management in ensuring the successful delivery of products.


Requirements

Technically


  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other relevant field will be valued
  • Have at least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner (working with Agile methodologies) ideally in the e-commerce/travel industry.
  • Development background
  • Experience working with web/mobile/cross-device solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, and Spanish (oral / written)
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools is also a plus
